2.5 out of 10 Disappointing
Conor from Louth, 10 Feb 2011
Like most of Woody Allens latest creations, this just fails to deliver. I added this one to my list, being a big fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but it really wasn't worth it. Larry David plays, well Larry David. The plot is weak and despite the quirky supporting cast, its simply rather boring.

3.5 out of 10 Very Entertaining
Adrian from Kildare, 23 Apr 2013
I found it quite funny and it has some of Woody's best comic one liners of recent years. Not a heavy hitter of a film, but very enjoyable. At times lots of wisdom with some vicious satire of the NRA and others Woody doesn't like.

What's it about....
After a failed suicide attempt, brilliant New York misanthrope Boris Yellnikoff (Larry David) forsakes his posh upper–class existence for meager accommodations in Chinatown. He meets his exact opposite in Melody (Evan Rachel Wood), a pageant queen from the Deep South who‘s long on sweetness but short on smarts. Surprisingly, Boris and Melody marry, but the sparks really fly when Melody‘s born–again Christian mother (Patricia Clarkson) arrives and finds liberation instead...
