One of the best films I have watched. It has everything - great acting, good story, action & tension and unlike most of the recent Hollywood thrash it has a beginning, a middle and an end! I cannot understand some reviewers picking up on minute little details when overall it was an excellent film. I enjoyed this and it certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat. However I had a few problems with the story telling. Like, who would go off and leave a van (with drugs and medical records) with all the doors unlocked and park it outside a prison??? No I didn’t think so. Its a good story but with a little more thought the loop holes, that are the size of a chasm could have been tightened up and it could have been a great film not just a good one

I am amazed at some of the negative comments. Thought this was a thrilling film,the suspense was unreal, the acting was incredible. Never want to see a Hollywood remake of this-it would have the father & son making up at the end. Gritty french film. One of the best foreign films I have seen in ages. Many twists in the plot, nail-biting stuff. Be prepared to devote it 2 hours without being disturbed.
Tension ? yes in spades !

This is the perfect movie for a couple to watch together.
It will have you on the edge of your seat , literaly, especialy if you have young children.The story is good and is kept tight by the tension in the central relationship.
There are plenty of surprises along the way too.
Now its not the best French film ever made but it has done well at the French box office.

Excellent stylish thriller about a man who will go to any lenghts to save the woman he loves.Its captivating from the start and very tense.Excellant performances help to keep your interest.Real edge of your seat stuff.Dont be put off by the subtitles but if you are not into French movies check out the excellant English remake The Next Three Days with Russell Crowe
