Cruise vs Foxx
Brian from Mayo, 29 Nov 2007
Tom Cruise takes the role of the villain for once in this gripping thriller from Michael Mann. This has all the characteristics of a Mann film - the cityscapes, night time settings, and a personal battle between two characters. Jamie Foxx is very believable as the innocent cabbie, never allowing his character to become the stereotypical action hero. If you like a well made thriller/action film, then this is for you.

really enjoyed this for long periods. Very slick and an original idea for a movie. Acting was good, dialogue good and the story kept you entertained. my only gripe is the ending, bit hollywood for my liking. but sure you can't have it all. Good movie overall and i'd recommend taking a look

I have to say I enjoyed this totally although my only argument was that as usual with Hollywood they have to tidy things up at the end realistically cruise would have completed his task and gone off into the sunset but that would only work in a cohen brothers movie.

INTERESTING PEAK AT THE UNDERBELLY OF LIFE AND FINDING OUT HOW EVERYON E OF US HAS A BIT OF THE GOOD AND BAD IN THEM, REGARDLESS OF HOW FAR ONE MIGHT SWAY TO EITHER SIDE. PSYCHOLOGICAL TWIST. INTENSE AT POINTS. DEFINATELY RENT

Theres a couple of good scenes in this movie but overall its a bit boring, im not a big fan of tom cruise and i couldnt get to grips with him being a hitman
