3.5 out of 10 A maze of twisty little passages, each one lethal.
Adrian from Dublin, 17 Jun 2011
The plot is self-consciously complex, and you'll want to watch it again just to make sure you followed it all. Despite the minor inconsistencies, the plot holds together as it moves forward. And it moves forward at a great rate. This is principally an action film, but it's too complex to watch while drunk. The film launched several Internet memes, but if you really want to explore the theoretical underpinnings of the story, look up "problem of the external world" in your favourite philosophy textbook, or see the wikipedia entry on Solipsism.

2 out of 10 Self Indulgent
Conor from Louth, 25 Jan 2011
A phenomenal idea for a film which goes tragically wrong. With such expectation behind it, people have actually been convinced that what they witnessed was a great movie. When in fact it was only a brilliant idea, which wasn't properly developed. The audience are bamboozled with the grand scheme and as you become more and more confused - there are ridiculous attempts by the cast to explain away the huge plot holes. Could've been a classic.

0.5 out of 10 Inception
Brian from Louth, 20 Dec 2010
One of the most over-rated movies ever. I'm sure they thought they were being clever. They weren't. Don't wait for it to be rescued by the ending, it only gets worse. There about 10 supporting actors in this mess and you find out nothing about any of them, with the result being"who gives a damn". The only thing Di Caprio reads on a script is the directors name.

3 out of 10 Doesn't live up to the hype
Patrick from Wicklow, 16 Feb 2011
I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed by this film. It promises a lot at the start but as far as the general theme goes it isn't very original. If you've seen the Matrix series and Vanilla Sky you may just feel that this is more of the same. Having said that it was quite entertaining, good production, acting etc. but not a film to watch again.

0.5 out of 10 Flummoxed!
gerry from Wexford, 18 May 2012
Had a few glasses of wine while watching this which was obviously a bad mistake. Couldn't make head nor tail of this twaddle. lost total interest after half an hour but my other half seemed to like it and wouldn't switch over!! Just concentrated on the wine then. Would not recommend for well adjusted normal people!!
