Brilliant film and fantastic performance from Jamie Foxx who shows what a great actor and singer he is. From start to finish I really enjoed this film. Rent it now, you wont be disappointed.

This dragged a bit for me. Just found it all a bit pedestrian but maybe bigger fans of the artist will get more from this than me. Good acting for sure though.

The story was a bit slow getting started but overall it was a good film. Jamie Foxx was excellent in the lead role and deserved his Oscar.

Riding high on a wave of Oscar buzz, Foxx proved himself worthy of all the hype by portraying blind R&B legend Ray Charles in a warts-and-all performance that Charles approved shortly before his death in June 2004. Despite a few dramatic embellishments of actual incidents (such as the suggestion that the accidental drowning of Charles's younger brother caused all the inner demons that Charles would battle into adulthood), the film does a remarkable job of summarizing...
